BRAC Marketing

The DelACCESS Consortium, in collaboration with the New Castle County (NCC) Office of Redevelopment, supports Delaware’s efforts to facilitate the Base Relocation and Closure (BRAC) process by which people are moving from Fort Monmouth, NJ to Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) in Maryland.

Associate Members can cost-effectively market to the anticipated influx of military contractors and employees relocating to the County over the next several years.  In addition to the 28,000 total projected new jobs that will be created in the Western Maryland/New Castle County area, NCC also projects to add an additional 78,000 new residents by 2030.  The types of jobs that will be transferring to APG include the following disciplines: Electronics Engineers, Logistics Managers, General Engineers Computer Engineers, Contracting Officers, Security Specialists, Information Technology Managers, and Telecommunication Technicians/Managers.  The average salary for positions relocating to APG is $86,000.

Events such as the Visit DE Day on October 25, 2008 are prime small business opportunities for Associate Members to directly touch base with BRAC-impacted individuals, including their families.   Whether your business sells to individuals or is looking for new employees among the spouses and other adult members of these families, Associate Members have a unique BRAC marketing opportunities through the DelACCESS Consortium.
